The Free Gift

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it”- Matthew 7:13-14 NIV
There was a strange and mysterious man that appeared out of no where at night near to a church. He sat down on a bench that was near to the stairs that led to the doors of the church. Another younger adult pass by the first man. All of a sudden, this man ask this other person if he would like a free gift that he had. This younger adult at first said politely that he could not take this free gift and walked away. This happened a few more times later with the same two people. This mysterious man would ask again and again to this younger man if he would like his free resource as a gift to him. After saying no several times, the younger man finally said to this strange man that his life was to busy and was not interested in his free gift. The younger man then walked away and never returned near to this church or saw this first man.
Not to much longer from the younger man’s rejection, a different person pass by the mysterious man. This different person looked broken and hurt. After he walked near to this church, he looked to the cross above the front doors and he trembled to the ground and started to plead to God for His mercy. Then this mysterious man walked to this person who was crying. He put his hand on this person shoulders and they looked at each other eyes. Then he ask if this person would like his help and offered his free gift that he had to this person. This person thought about it and then accepted this strange man’s free gift. This person felt different after he got this free gift and changed his tears to a smile.

There are many that will walk across Jesus and will not accepted His free gift with the things of this world; whether it being to occupy with their lives, their busy jobs, their family crisis… just too busy to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. But some will be opened and accepted Jesus’ free gift of His salvation and grace, and will have an after affect of transformation and believe of hope in Him! Open your hands to His free gift that He has for you and trust Him through His plan and purpose for you.
